Safeguarding children is the responsibilty of all adults at James Brindley CPS.

The Designated Senior Person for Safeguarding is Miss K. Stokes In Miss Stokes' absence, Mr J. Kingsley takes responsibility for safeguarding.

James Brindley CPS is part of Operation Encompass. This protocol ensures that incidents of domestic violence that occur in the home of any of our children that come to the attention of the Police, are recorded in school and the impact on the child and family is considered by the lead person at school. Mrs K. Stokes is the lead person for 'Encompass' with, Mr J. Kingsley taking responsibility in Mrs Stokes' absence

The school is aware that there have been updates to the key document "Keeping Children Safe in Education" and have ensured that all staff are aware of, and understand, the revisions.

Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy has been updated to reflect the guidance within our school practice and is awaiting formal ratification of the Local Governing Board and the LINK Education Trust.

The policy will be uploaded to our school website by Friday 18th October.
