Nursery - The Three Snow Bears

This week, our book focus has been, The Three Snow Bears by Jan Brett — a wonderful Arctic twist on the classic Goldilocks story. The children loved looking at beautiful illustrations as they listened carefully to the story.

After sharing the book together, the children worked in small groups of three to take part in role play, acting out different parts of the story. This was the very first time the children have had a go at role play, and they did an amazing job!

Some children confidently changed their voices to match the characters — from a deep, grizzly Daddy Bear voice to a squeaky Baby Bear, which was fantastic to hear. The children also impressed us by remembering and repeating key phrases from the story, showing great listening skills and confidence.

Role play is a wonderful way to develop communication, imagination, and teamwork, and we are so proud of how enthusiastically all the children took part. Well done everyone!
