‘Working together to fulfil potential’
A brilliant team performance was witnessed by an enthusiastic crowd at Worsley Pool on Wednesday as the James Brindley swimmers competed against the other Worsley schools for the crown of champions. The training regime that had been overseen by Mrs Devney and Mrs Gibson in the lead up to the gala was self evident as our swimmers made it through to 16 out of 18 finals. The scoring system of 6pts for 1st place, 5pts for 2nd etc served our team well as they clocked up top 3 finishes regularly throughout the evening. As the final results were announced the air of anticipation was immense. '...and in first place and Worsley Swimming Champions for 2017....James Brindley!'
The parents of our children roared their approval, as did our children. A fantastic achievement, this being the first time ever that James Brindley have come away with the trophy.
