At James Brindley, we try to use practical science to make learning truly fun and engaging. We invite families in to watch Eureka sessions where children work to design and carry out investigations. We also work closely with local High Schools to offer exciting opportunities for children to begin to experiment in science laboratories.
Recently, we took 12 eager scientists to take part in the Great Science Share, an initiative across the UK, to inspire and ignite enthusiasm in young people for sciences.
We hope you'll enjoy watching video highlights of the Great Science Share, our Eureka sessions and some of our sessions at a local High School.
Also...as part of our curriculum for 2016-17, all classes from Y1 - Y6 are participating in a Scientific Learning Challenge in the Spring Term and some of their work is featured below, whereby children representing their class share some of the learning from their particular topic. Enjoy!
