Salford Schools XC Championships- Race 1

Thankfully the heavy overnight rain stayed away from Buile Hill Park as our intrepid cross country runners took the start line to do battle in the first race of the 4 race series.

It was particularly pleasing to see yet more debutants in James Brindley vests. Troy and Blake Catterall, Harry Starling, Jacob Bleakley, Izabela Bamber, Niall Coyle, Gabi Lyth, Isobelle Renshaw-Livesey and Kara Pritchard all wore the James Brindley blue and yellow for their first cross country outing this year. 68different runners have now represented the school this year in competitive cross country action- a real tribute to the spirit of adventure in our school and the efforts of families and staff.

As ever, strong team efforts mean that we will have a number of teams in the medal hunt.
Let's keep the momentum going!

Individually, Marissa Caldwell (2nd), Jasmine Wright (6th), Millie Bayman (4th) and Toby Markham (7th) have staked their intentions to be in the hunt for individual medals with such strong starts.

Full results from Race 1 will be added when they are available.

The next race takes place on Saturday 28th November 2015 at Bolton Road Playing Fields.
