Congratulations and thank you to all our fantastic cross country runners who finished the Salford METS series off in style.
Our star turn on the day, finishing in an excellent 5th position, was Shivani Mistry. She was ably supported by another huge turn out from the James Brindley girls, helping us to secure a second place finish overall in the team category. In fact, the results below show that a large number of our girls improved on their previous positions- well done girls!!! Our congratulations are extended also to Isabelle Gibson, who made her debut in the girls race.
In the boys race it was great to still have a number of children making their cross country debut. Chief among these was Toby Markham, finishing in a fabulous 6th place. Our congratulations are extended to the other debutants, Luke Gibson, Dylan Seddon, Aaron Bradshaw, Joseph Seddon and Joshua Greenwood who ensured that we'd a strong finish to the series, finishing in 6th position. Well done to all our boys and a big thank you to Joel Purvis, Joshua Coppock and Matthew Hughes who ran every race!
The next race will be the first of the Salford Schools' Cross Country Championships on Saturday 14 November at Buile Hill Park. Children will race in either Year 3 &4 or Year 5 & 6 categories. Full details can be found by following the link below.
