On a cold Autumnal morning, we were blessed with a fantastic turn out from our enthusiastic cross country runners. Yet again we'd a number of debutants who equipped themselves well and now look forward to becoming regulars. Well done to you all!
In the girls race, Millie Bayman showed her class to finish an excellent third place. Hot on Millie's heels, in their first races of the year, the three Mistry sisters showed fantastic focus on their way to excellent runs. Indeed it was nice to welcome back some of our regular runners who couldn't make the first race of the year. We are looking like having very competitive Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 girls teams. Keep up the excellent work.
In the boys race, debutant Joseph Stringer had an outstanding run for 16th place showing that he has a natural talent for endurance events. Not far behind, Matthew Greenwood, another debutant, ran an equally fantastic race for a very impressive thirtieth place. Our congratulations are extended to all our boys on their excellent efforts but particularly to those who represented school for the first time at cross country- well done to James Hall, Charlie Barton, Liam Barton and Oliver Nangle. We hope to see you racing again soon.
