James Brindley XC Championships 2016

Ahead of the final two Salford Schools races (Saturday 23 January 2016 and Saturday 06 February 2016) the second annual James Brindley Cross Country Championships took place in wintry sunshine on Friday 08 January. The testing 2 and 3 lap courses for runners were made all the more difficult by the cold wind and marshy underfoot conditions.

Children were representing their houses, competing for the Intra-school XC trophy. The final result of the team competition is contained in a sealed envelope and will be revealed in assembly on Friday 15 January 2016 where the winning House Captain will collect the spoils of victory. The first three runners in each race will receive beautiful engraved medals in a presentation case for their excellent performances.
