Congratulations to all our athletes who proudly represented us at the annual Worsley Sports Championships today.
Team James Brindley did fantastically well to retain the Merit Shield for small schools.
There’s always a good atmosphere at the summer athletics and spirits were high with some excellent team and individual performances. Congratulations also to Jake Royle who was crowned the Worsley Sports Year 3&4 600m Champion. It was a perfect example of how passion, determination and hard work can bring you success and he humbly accepted his medal. A few other notable examples were Asha Mistry who finished 2nd in the Year 4 Girls 600m final, Marissa Caldwell who also came 2nd in the Year 6 Girls 600m final and the Year 5/6 Girls Relay team who came 2nd in the 4 x 100m final.
The most important factor was the great attitude shown by all of our competitors and the constant encouragement that they shared with one another.
As ever, thank you to all our families for their excellent support on the day.
